Frequently asked questions
We’ve answered some of the questions we’re asked most often to help you decide if holiday home ownership is right for you.
How much does it really cost to own a static caravan?
The cost of owning a static caravan with Lyons starts with the price of your holiday home, with models from around £17,995 depending on the park, size, and specification you choose. On top of the caravan price there are ongoing costs such as annual site fees, utilities, and insurance, but we’ll always give you a clear breakdown for your chosen park and caravan so you know exactly what to budget for.
What are site fees and what do they cover?
Site fees are the annual amount you pay to keep your holiday home on its pitch. They typically cover things like park maintenance, security, landscaping, and use of on‑park facilities. Exact costs depend on the park and pitch you choose, and our team will explain what’s included at each location before you commit.
Can I finance my static caravan?
Yes, we work with approved finance providers so you can spread the cost of your holiday home over a fixed term, subject to status and affordability checks. Our ownership team will talk you through deposit options, monthly repayments, and total cost, so you can decide what works best for your budget.
How often can I use my holiday home during the year?
At Lyons, season lengths vary by park, ranging from around 7½ month seasons right up to 12 month seasons, with some parks open over Christmas and New Year. We don’t offer residential licences at any of our holiday parks, so you’ll always need a permanent main address elsewhere, and our team will confirm the exact season dates for your chosen park before you buy.
Can I bring my dog to my caravan?
Yes, all of our holiday parks are pet‑friendly, and North Wales is a brilliant place for dog‑friendly walks and beaches. We simply ask that dogs are kept on a lead while around the park and that owners clean up after them, so everyone can enjoy a safe and welcoming environment.
